Step 1
Remove the trim panels from around the old frame to expose the rivets or screws in older vehicles depending on your model you may need to remove the roof lining also to get to rivets drill out rivets to remove the frame. frame pushes out from inside once the frame is removed clean and any old glue off panel
Step 2
we recommend you pre drill holes in inner trim just though first skin makes fitting easier later on Take the frame from the kit and place in the hole to check fitment as they are made to be tight fit, you may need to file where the screws join the frame together once your happy with fit drill holes round frame, then remove the frame and clean away any swarf now take the glue and with precut nozzle apply even glue bead around the edge of the frame and then place in hole
Step 3
You have holes already pre drilled with the help of someone they must hold the inner u section inside the vehicle around edge of the frame one top and one bottom while the other person pop rivets frame in place make sure rivet is nice and straight and into inner trim once all riveted clean off any excess glue with diy builders wipes
Step 4
You may find trims are tight in new u section and you may need to drill new holes in left and right hand trim at bottom were fir trees go though card IT HELPS to refit bottom trim to line up holes then drill though card Then last job which you need to take time with is fitting the black bead to cover up rivet heads unless you like riveted look A flat screw driver or plastic trim tool is best for this job and plenty of patience.
